We would like to introduce you to the Florida Hospital Center Ice Sports Performance Center. The Sports Performance Center is located inside of Florida Hospital Center Ice and is 2500 square feet of space including a gym and yoga room, an evaluation and treatment room plus 90 yards of indoor turf designed to get the best out of you as an athlete. The gym boasts four full power racks, two reverse hyper extension machines, two Pit Shark belt squats, over 20 different barbells, 7500lbs of free weights, 5-100lb dumbbells plus much more. The turf provides enough space for medicine ball work, sled pushing and dragging, long loaded carries and short or long sprints.

The staff at the Sport Performance Center brings years of performance training experience and consists of the Florida Hospital Director of Sports Medicine and Performance Dr. Barbara Morris, Sport Performance Director Connor Lyons, and Head Athletic Trainer Mike Merren. The staff will be able to create a program from start to finish to insure not only that you excel in your desired sport but also that you are able to stay in the game all season long. Athletes who train at the facility will have the option to get a functional movement assessment from the sports medicine staff, will then be tested by the performance coaches, and a program will be created set to the specific needs of your development.

The Florida Hospital Center Ice Sport Performance Center will offer functional movement assessments, injury assessment and concussion testing, group training, team training, one-on-one private training, training for professional athletes as well as training classes geared towards high school aged athletes, youth athletes and the general population. Athletes of all ages, abilities and sports are encouraged to come check out the facility and find out how we can help you achieve all of your goals!
